Main Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scope Development
- Support development of project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with Project Manager and stakeholders.
- Assist in preparation of project schedules, cost estimates, resource plans and execution strategies
Project Execution & Coordination
- Execute and coordinate project engineering activities across all phases; design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Monitor project progress against schedule, cost and scope.
Engineering Management & Technical Oversight
- Review and validate engineering deliverables including specifications, drawings, calculations and vendor documents.
- Ensure engineering outputs meet project requirements, company standards and applicable codes and regulations
- Support development of engineering scope for feasibility studies, basic engineering and EPCIC phases.
Change Management & Project Control
- Monitor and manage changes to project scope, cost, and schedule.
- Ensure all changes are technically assessed, documented and approved prior to implementation
Risk Management & Assurance
- Identify project risks and support development of mitigation plans. Maintain and update project risk registers.
- Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle. Support quality assurance and quality control processes.
Procurement & Contractor Coordination
- Identify requirements for materials, equipment and third-party services
- Work closely with SCM to support procurement activities in line with Company processes.
Construction, Installation & Commissioning Support
- Work closely with construction and commissioning teams to ensure engineering alignment and timely resolution of technical issues
- Participate in site inspections, progress reviews and technical evaluations
Technical Reviews & Safety Studies
- Participate in technical and safety reviews including HAZID, HAZOP, constructability review and design reviews
- Ensure all actions and recommendations are tracked and closed out.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, deliverables and performance indicators
Project Close-Out & Lessons Learned
- Contribute to knowledge management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support project close-out activities including final documentation, as-built drawings and handover to operations.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or related discipline)
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in project engineering, project delivery and design engineering.
- Minimum 5–8 years in Oil & Gas / energy / infrastructure projects
- Experience in EPC / EPCIC project environments, engineering coordination and contractor management.
- Exposure to upstream, midstream, or downstream projects is advantageous
- Project Management Professional certification (e.g. PMP) is preferred
- Project engineering and delivery, engineering design and review, project planning and scheduling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.

- Strong personal drive, leadership skills, technical acumen and able to manage wide variety of activities and projects;
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability with positive working attitude;
- Must be well organized, work independently & have the ability to multi-task, lead and work in teams;
- Must be able to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines;
- Good command of spoken and written Malay and English languages.
