Main Responsibilities
- Lead construction engineering and site coordination activities to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved project requirements.
- Review construction strategies, method statements, execution plans, construction interfaces, and constructability matter prior to and during execution.
- Monitor construction progress, contractor performance, productivity, safety compliance, and work quality across assigned projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, commissioning, and project management teams to ensure efficient execution and issue resolution.
- Review construction-related technical issues, drawings, specifications, site constraints, and field changes, and support practical resolution.
- Ensure compliance with approved ITPs, quality requirements, HSSE expectations, and project standards during construction activities.
- Support construction completion, subsystem completion, mechanical completion, turnover, and readiness for commissioning.
- Lead or support construction reviews, lessons learned, and close-out activities.
- Provide timely updates to management on construction status, key issues, risks, contractor performance, and mitigation actions.
- Provide input to departmental and project budgets.
- Monitor construction-related costs, contractor performance, and execution against contract requirements.
- Lead, promote, and comply with HSSE policies, guidelines, and initiatives.
- Ensure construction activities reflect Company, regulatory, and contractor HSSE requirements.
Position Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline
- Minimum of 7 to 9 years of relevant construction engineering or site execution experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
- Strong experience in construction supervision, contractor coordination, completion support, and execution-stage problem solving.
- Experience supporting commissioning and handover activities is advantageous.
- Relevant construction, project, or safety-related certification is advantageous.

- Good command of spoken and written Malay and English languages.
